What's a CSE?
What is CSE Revue?
The Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) Revue is a live comedy sketch show held during September at the University of New South Wales (UNSW). Produced and directed by members of the society, the show serves to highlight the technical and creative talents of UNSW students, as well as an opportunity for students to further develop their university experience.

Hey everyone!
We hope you've all had a fantastic holiday so far and an amazing Christmas!
As the new exec, we'd like to give a huge thanks to all those involved this past year. We had our most successful show ever, which we could not have pulled off without everyone's combined efforts. Kudos especially to this year's exec: Anne, Ben, Charissa, Em, Jane, Lambo, Mel, Rob and Stuart for their dedication and hard work in making this year such an unforgettable experience. Thanks to your efforts and motivation, we witnessed several monumental achievements - from moving to the Science Theatre, to having the largest audience for a CSE Revue EVER, to online ticketing and jumping castles, to a huge intake of new members into the society... and let's not forget that enormous LED screen which wowed audiences from the second the show started!

Membership 2009

With the new year comes a fresh start, so remember to update your membership on the CSE Revue website - just go to www.cserevue.org.au and renew your membership for 2009.

Organisational Committee
--------------------------------------
For the society to get up and running for next year, it is essential that motivated, hard working and fun-loving people team up to lead
members of CSE Revue in organising several aspects of CSE Revue. If you loved being involved with CSE Revue in 2008 and want to be even more involved with the society, then we recommend thinking of becoming part of the Organisational Committee of 2009. Feel free to come chat to us if you're interested but are unsure what the role requires. If you are interested in joining Orgs, email us at exec@cserevue.org.au

We had a fantastic show in 2008 and we'd like others to see it (and those who loved it to watch it countless times =P), so we're producing the CSE++ // Revue Goes Large DVD. Whether you have had years of experience in video editing, or are just looking to get involved over the summer, email us at exec@cserevue.org.au and help us immortalise the show in plastic for all to see.
Once again, thanks for your efforts over this past year and we hope to see you involved next year :)
Happy Holidays!
Love,
Bel, Mel, Sammy, Sean, Som, Steph, Stuart and Youssef

What is it?
Casting call is a chance for everyone who wants to be involved in cast to get to know each other, and for us (the Directors) to get to know you! Over the 3 days of casting call we'll be giving you a taste of the sorts of activities we do in cast, learning dance blocks, stagecraft, and improvisation skills. We'll be releasing the rehearsal timetable, so it's also an important opportunity for you to see the sort of commitment involved, and to decide if cast is for you.
When is it?
Saturday 5th July / 10am - 6pm
Tuesday 8th July / 6.30pm - 9.30pm
Wednesday 9th July / 6.30pm - 9.30pm
Where is it?
The Seminar Room, Level 1, K17 Building
Who can join?
Anyone! No previous theatre experience is required.
Who should come?
If you are interested in being a part of cast, even if you're unsure, you are expected to attend all the casting call dates.
What if I can't make it?
If there are major obstacles to you attending casting call, such as being overseas, please contact Directors as soon as possible at directors@cserevue.org.au
Hope to see you there!

Hey boys and girls!
To welcome new and old revuers alike, as well as just having an excuse to hang out and have fun, we've organised a Games Night this week!
Location: K17 Level 1 Seminar Room
Date: Wednesday 19th March
Time: 4.30pm - 9pm
And by games, we mean all kinds of games you can convince other people to play with you in an indoors environment. Without running around though :-P

Also, we'll provide some snacks and drinks, and we can organise pizzas on the night if people are so inclined (bring money along for the pizzas!)
You'd better be there :-)

Hi Everyone!
Hope you're all having an awesome break.
Coming up is O-Week (03 March - 08 March) and needless to say, we'll be setting up a CSE Revue stall to promote the society and the revue community, and recruit new members. This means we'll be needing a lot of helpers for O-Week and in the week leading up to it for preparation. Helpers will be required to help make showbags, flyers and badges next week, and setting up/packing up the stall and promoting during O-Week.
Could all those that can spare some time next week and throughout O-Week please let us know what days you are free (promotions.head@cserevue.org.au)?
Many Thanks,
Arthur + Renee

After weeks of blood, sweat, tears and lots (and lots) of cursing, the UNSW Computer Science and Engineering Revue DVD has compiled and is off at the replicators.
Here's a sample:
CSE Revue - Sand Theft Auto Trailer
To celebrate, we're taking orders!
You can grab a copy for $15 (including postage*) by filling out the order form. If you're a society member, you can drop past the SOC's office and pick up a copy for $10.
You can also grab the DVDs from previous shows. They will increase the amount you laugh by ((n*100%)+100%), where n = the number of DVDs you buy. They're also AUD$15 each, and that includes postage.
This year's show is the first dual layer DVD that has ever been produced, and we were able to bump the bitrate up to stupidly high levels to tingle your retinas, and there's a whole stack of bonus features in there too for good measure.
We both hope and know you'll love it.
Love,
The DVD Team.
*Postage within Australia. Extra charges for International postage - prices available upon request.
